His Love Notes: Me & God.

The past couple weeks I've felt the Spirit in my life more than I have in a while. I'm in Utah right now visiting my friends, and it's without a doubt one of the best trips I've ever been on. I've allowed myself to feel the Spirit again, and slowly invite it back into my life, because I'm happier when I have it. I feel like my spirit is healing. I become more myself everyday. I've been so focused on the question of a mission, that I was missing the entire point of what Heavenly Father was wanting me to do with the next part of my spiritual life. On the way back to Salt Lake from seeing some friends in Provo last night, and having amazing conversations, the Spirit confirmed what it was I was thinking Heavenly Father wanted me to do. As I prepare for this next step, I am really thankful that everyday I become closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I make myself count the blessings I daily see in my life from them, and the more I take notice, the more they pour out. I'm thankful for the patience Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for me, the tender mercies they give me to make me notice timing and blessings in a way only I would be able to recognize, and I'm thankful that they know my heart and love me unconditionally.

I started writing as a source of release for my thoughts; I had no idea that it would become such a bounteous blessing in my life. Pretty quickly I recognized that these magical things were happening when I write: I was learning about myself, and I was able to understand and apply the lessons I was learning. Most importantly, I was able to see through greater light how very real the presence of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are in my life. It has given me a way to take the knowledge and lessons I've learned, and use them for good by helping others. Writing has been a steadfast companion through some of the most self discovering times of my life. My greatest hope for this blog is that through my continuous journey of self discovery, I may help other people, and be a continuous testimony that we are never alone; Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are always present in our lives, and that nothing that happens to us is ever by mistake; the hand of the Lord surely is in the details.
