Daphne+Cafe Rio

Remember that one time I met friends in Vegas for the weekend?
Anyways, Garrett was already my best friend, but that trip brought me closer to a lot of the important people in his life. I love them all so much for so many reasons. Plus they make me laugh.

One of those people is Daphne:
Whenever I pass through Vegas, I stop and see Daphne. She's trustworthy, real, loyal and always has an open ear to listen and make you feel better than you did before.

This past week I got a text from Daph telling me she was in Huntington Beach and wanted to meet for lunch. Score. I was so excited. Plus I got a chance to listen to the cd Garrett sent me the whole way there and whole way back. Props on his mix making skills. I feel so far away from my Utah friends and it was that little piece of widget love that I really have been needing. Sometimes you're lucky enough in life to meet friends who will be a part of your life no matter how far away you live from each other. Who learn to know you better than anyone. Most of those people live in Utah, so this was a great little reunion.

We met at Cafe Rio in Orange County, which was so delicious. I mean it's Cafe Rio, so you know how that goes. A pork salad and purse full of mints is the way to my heart. We caught up, had girl talk, and talked about everything and anything. I love friends who you can laugh with and then also talk about the Gospel with and important things all within the same conversation. Long story short, it was a really great day, a day I needed, and made me even more grateful for the people I've been able to surround myself who lift me up and inspire me everyday.
It was a beautiful day, shared with a wonderful person, great food, amazing conversation, and a day that will be hard to forget.

Oh yeah, and I almost ran over Brody Jenner in the parking lot on the way home while he was walking from his black Land Rover with tinted windows, complete with black v-neck, designer jeans, converse, and black baseball hat.

So Orange County.
